I work with children and young people and their families who are having a wide range of difficulties. Lots of young people find that it can really help at these times to talk things through. I might be able to teach you some new skills to help you to feel more happy and confident or to overcome a problem.
There are lots of different things I can help with. There might be something that you would like some support with, such as feeling sad, angry or confused or having lots of worries. You might be struggling with some of the challenges in life or having difficulties in your relationships with people at school or in your family. These experiences are all very normal but sometimes they can start to get in the way of you feeling happy and doing the things that you want to do.
Your parent/s would probably join us the first time we meet. We could talk about how things are at the moment and how you might like them to be in the future. I would also be interested in getting to know more about what is important to you. We could then agree a goal or wish that you would like some help with and arrange to meet for a few sessions (usually 6-10) to work towards this. Hopefully we can make life as good as it can be for you at the moment.
